Connecting Art & History

About us

Travel through time and around the world at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, one of the oldest museums in the country. Built in 1857, the building’s historic features have been carefully preserved, with treasures from all around the world cramming its original glass cabinets.

The Grade II listed building, which can be found in Warrington’s Cultural Quarter on the corner of Bold Street and Museum Street, is home to thousands of fascinating exhibits, from beautiful works of art, an Ancient Egyptian mummy – and even our very own dinosaur!

In addition to the permanent displays, our community focused venue also provides an award-winning programme of events and temporary exhibitions, in addition to free family-friendly craft activities.
