Is your group doing a badge that we can help with? We can offer workshops for your group looking at our Egyptian collections, Romans, collecting etc.
Guided tours
Fancy learning a little more about the history of the museum and its collections?
Tea and Talk sessions
Designed for residents of care homes or day centres. Come along for a short, tailored talk about something in the museum and have a chat and enjoy some tea and biscuits with us while you’re here. We can work with people living with dementia and their carers / families, and also people with speech and communication problems.
Memory boxes
We have a selection of memory boxes to use with groups for guided reminiscence sessions. The boxes all contain original objects, photographs and some have smell capsules too! The boxes are £20 for a week and you can book them through [email protected]

Adult talks
Museum staff can offer a variety of talks on many subjects including local history, specific collections and current exhibitions.
There are different charges for talks at the museum during opening times and off-site after hours. Please email [email protected] and we can send your enquiry to the most relevant person.
