In July 2020, it was 72 years since the formation of the NHS. Unlike two years ago, when we celebrated its 70th, this year it has been during the pandemic. 2020 has been designated by the World Health Organisation as the ‘Year of the Nurse and the Midwife’ and never have their skills been so important.

Always putting the needs of others before their own, ‘Care and Compassion’ recognises and celebrates the work of these ‘frontline  heroes’ in helping to fight COVID 19 and throughout history in making all our lives healthier and happier.
