Nursing badges, generally can be divided into three categories; qualification badges, hospital badges and membership badges. Hospital badges were given to students by the hospital where they trained. These badges were unique to the hospital and there are dozens of designs. Professional nursing organisations would issue badges to their members such as The British Nursing Association (BNA) and The Royal College of Nursing (RCN). (WAGMG:1980.63.2)
