A workshop run by local artist Kirsty Rae of The Little Art House who specializes in drawing, painting, mixed media and printmaking.
The workshop will show attendees how to create a metal embossed reproduction medal based upon examples from the museum collections.
Metal embossing is a technique used to transfer a design onto metal sheets by pushing the metal with an embossing tool in order to create a raised effect on the other side. Metal embossing is about creating interest through texture, dimension, and colour or patina. It is an easy, fun and great technique to create mixed-media art. Why not have a go!
