Warrington Museum and Archives have worked with storyteller Flick Goodman and illustrator Stef Woof to create a children’s book telling the true life story of Old Billy. Old Billy lived in Warrington over 200 years ago and reached the age of 62 (nearly three times the age of an average horse). He still holds the World record for the oldest ever horse. The old Billy book is designed to teach young children some local history in a fun and engaging way.

Suitable for ages 6-10 year olds. Three one-hour sessions 11.15am, 12.30pm, and 1.45pm, at which children will have the story read to them by the author and then work with the book’s illustrator to learn how to draw Old Billy for themselves.
