The Archives can help if you want to trace your family tree, find out about the history of your house, or learn about the part of Warrington you live in.

The Museum’s Search Room is located within Warrington Library and is now open to visitors following Lockdown. However visits muct now be pre-booked via this website. Book your visit here.

We have microfilm & microfiche readers available for you to use and the latest reader-printer to print off copies of anything you find. Readers can be booked in advance. Anyone can consult the documents in our collections free of charge, however there are fees for some services within the room, such as the provision of copies or the use of a camera.

If you are unable to visit the Search Room in person we are able to offer a research service. The fees for conducting research are given in the schedule of charges, payment is taken in advance.

If you are having difficulties with your research and wish to talk the Archives Officer about possible new approaches, we offer a personal consultation service, the charges for which can also be found in the schedule.
