The Great War Records were damaged during World War Two so are incomplete. With just the bare minimum of information I have tried to identify these soldiers. My main source of reference was all categories of Ancestry.co.uk others I have listed below each soldier. In some cases, where more than one soldier share very similar details,  it has been difficult to identify the specific man associated with Bewsey, in these cases I have included each set of potential details. Where I am uncertain I have put question mark.

The information may help in tracing your family during a time of great conflict. I hope the information is correct and if you are reading it and have any information which will help I would like to hear from you.

CO-OPERATIVE EMPLOYEES TABLET: WW1

Originally dedicated in 1921 and placed in the Winwick Road CO-OP.

It was made of Blackboard Slate but was later lost.

The original wording:

Erected by the Warrington Co-operative Employees

To the Sacred Memory of

Our Comrades who paid the Supreme Sacrifice

In the

Great War 1914-1918

Lest We Forget

They replaced it in Marble after WW2 with the names of eight men lost during that conflict. It is now in the ground outside the CO-OP Funeral Services on Bewsey Road.

I have researched both WW1 & WW2 soldiers.

ERECTED BY THE UNITED CO-OPERATIVES LIMITED

IN MEMORY OF OUR COMRADES

WHO PAID THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
